一、登机前检查文件。入学许可，中华人民共和国护照，机票，汇票、旅行支票或其他财力证明，小额钞票及其他重要文件，如健康证明等。
二、出国带汇小窍门。出国带大量的现金在身上既不安全又不方便，更好的办法是办一张可以异地存取的银行卡，携带在身上。但方便不是免费的，异地存取要收取服务费。对留学生，相较而言，旅行支票不失为最佳的携汇方式。
三、行李携带。不同的航空公司对行李的规格也有一定的限定，留学生在出国前要了解清楚，以免行李超重。新加坡航空公司规定为一个托运行李箱30公斤+手提行李8公斤;加拿大航空公司规定为二个托运行李箱各32公斤+手提行李8公斤等。
